- Arrival to Brazil: you will usually pass through the international airports in either Rio de Janeiro (airport code : GIG),
São Paulo (airport code : GRU) or Salvador da Bahia (airport code : SSA).
- From there you can catch a domestic flight to Ilhéus, Bahia (airport code : IOS), the closest airport to Itacaré.
Ilhéus is located 60 km south of Itacaré and receives several daily flights from all major cities in Brazil.
- When you arrive at the Ilhéus airport a staff member will meet you and transport you to Itacaré.
Upon departure you will be transported back to the airport.
- You can also catch a bus to get to Ilhéus. Bus connections between Ilhéus and Salvador (7 hours, five daily)
and Rio de Janeiro (22 hours, three daily).
- In both cases you will still have to pass through the city of Ilhéus.
- The transport from Ilhéus to Itacaré is included in the price of your Capoeira Holidays.
